Dr Roman

Karla Z. Roman, DMD

Dr. Román was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus in 2006. After obtaining her degree, she moved to Minnesota to complete a General Practice Residency program at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Minneapolis. She moved to California and worked for a year as an associate dentist. It was then that she realized that her passion was the field of periodontics and decided to return to school. She graduated from the Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Medical Center in 2012 and received her periodontal specialty degree.

Dr. Román is an active member of the American Dental Association Academy of Periodontology, the California Dental Association, the California Society of Periodontists, and the Humboldt Del Norte Dental Society.

Dr. Román is married to Dr. Kochendorfer, who is a general dentist in the area. They move to Humboldt in 2012. They have a son Emmet, who was born in August 2014. Dr. Román enjoys on her free time hiking, traveling, and photography.

Alyssa - Dental Assistant - has worked in a periodontal office for the past 11 years. She and her husband Jesse have been married for ten years and have three beautiful children. Alyssa enjoys camping with her family, coaching her kids soccer teams and gardening with her husband and children.
Heather Kasandra - Hygienist - was born and raised in Humboldt County. After working in banking for a number of years, she decided to pursue a career in dental hygiene. She received a B.S. in dental hygiene at the Oregon Institute of Technology in 2007. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and three daughters.'

Linda

         Heather - Dental Assistant - was born and raised in Humboldt County. She graduated from the College of the Redwoods Dental Assisting program in 2002. She has two children and enjoys going to sports events, camping, traveling, and scrapbooking.



Debbie

Taylor - Dental Assistant -  was born and raised in Humboldt County. She graduated from the College of the Redwoods Dental Assisting program in 2009. She has one daughter. She enjoys spending time at the lake with her family and traveling.
